Get to know the photographer
Lifestyle, Weddings & Farm Sessions
Photography has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad is a photographer (though his world is mostly sports). I still remember tagging along to a wedding he shot when I was young, camera in hand, completely mesmerised. From there, I started playing around with my phone camera, falling in love with editing and storytelling. When my parents gave me my first real camera for my 18th birthday, there was no turning back
These days, I get to document families & couples in the most natural, heartfelt way. The secret hand holds, kids tugging for you to follow, the chaos that makes the days so full.
My approach is laid-back and natural. I won’t force you into stiff poses or make you “act” for the camera. Instead, I’ll gently guide you when needed, but mostly, I’ll let you just be; whether that’s snuggling on the couch, running through the paddocks, or watching your little ones explore. I want your session to feel effortless, like a normal day unfolding (just with me there to capture it).
I have a soft spot for capturing farm life, too, because I know how precious those memories are. My husband grew up on the same farm we live on now, and I know how much it would mean to him if he had timeless photos of his grandparents working the land. I want to give that gift to others; the kind of images that feel like home, that tell a story, that will be cherished for generations.
A little more about me
Who is jess beyond the camera?
When I’m not photographing, you’ll find me chasing my two little girls around our dairy farm, embracing the (somewhat) slow rhythm of life here. I have a soft spot for the baby calves that have been known to sneak under the fence and curl up in the trees. And when I’m editing? You’ll find me curled up on the couch, rewatching Gilmore Girls or Veronica Mars (though One Tree Hill has recently stolen my heart!).
